Description |
photo National Headquarters & The Training School located 120 - 130 West 14th St. This photograph was taken some time between 1903 and 1918. Both the Men's and Women's Training Schools were moved into this location in 1903 when The Salvation Army leased "The Douglas Mansion" located right next to National Headquarters. It's of interest that this building, prior to being rented by The Salvation Army, was the first of three locations for the Metropolitan Museum of Art. In 1917 the Army purchased this building for $75,000. B&W. 8x10" |
